Effects of Throat Chakra Balancing

The fifth Chakra – Throat or Vishuddha is the center that directs our speech and creative expression. It is located at the base of the throat, in the V that is formed in the center of the collarbone.  When the Throat Chakra is balanced you will become more honest, and can clearly express yourself with the people around you. By raising your own awareness to the health or dysfunction of what and how you speak, you can change your life!

Known as the center of purification, it is where energy becomes transformed into our manifestations in the physical world.  The energy of the Throat Chakra allows you to seek knowledge that is true, accepting your originality, and expressing your authentic voice.

When your throat chakra is in balance you will express yourself in the world without any fear! You will be very creative, helpful, and offer sound advice to others when it is asked for. You know what you want out of your life’s journey and you are not afraid to ask for it!  A balanced Throat Chakra allows others to understand your weaknesses, and who you truly are as a person without fear, and people respect you for this. You become truly free when your Throat Chakra is balanced and you speak your truth.

When your Throat Chakra is over-active you become over-opinionated, and critical of others and how they are performing in life. When the throat chakra is out of balance the physical symptoms may include sore throats, tight jaws, stiff neck, and headaches. An over-active Throat Chakra will lead to being verbally abusive to others, and yelling when not necessary.  You fight when others attempt to voice their opinions about certain situations; it becomes your way or no way.

When your Throat Chakra is under-active, you cannot express yourself honestly and will often be misinterpreted or misunderstood by others. When it is out of balance spiritually you begin to habitually lie, doubt about the intentions of others, or find yourself at a loss for words.   Telling the truth and being honest with yourself is something you probably have a difficult time with, and giving mixed messages is likely something that has gotten you into trouble before.

Once your Throat Chakra is balanced and open by raising your awareness and intentions,  you feel free to express what you think and what you feel. Communicating your ideas, beliefs, and emotions when the throat chakra is in balance brings your personal truth into your life and the lives of others.  An easy flow of energy within the Body and Spirit springs forward on a path enabling free expression of your values and needs.
